About.com's Cory Deitz has written an opinion piece predicting that the RIAA's next target will be podcasters. Honestly, I wish I could up with a compelling counter-argument, but I don't think there is one. There is no way to argue that podcasting is hurting the music industry's revenue, but that is what the RIAA will say. Podcasting is nothing but good for the music industry and the RIAA should be begging podcasters to play their songs, but it's not going to happen. The music industry has gone to Crazy Town and is never coming back. I, for one, won't miss them, but unfortunately they're probably going to take a lot more innocent music fans with them.
