Teen arrested trying to film "Spiderman 2"

Spiderman hates pirates A projectionist using night-vision goggles caught a 16-year-old kid with a camcorder at the debut night of Spiderman 2. The inicident happened in a theater in Chatsworth, suburb of LA. The teen had already recorded the beginning of the film when he was arrested.

The pirate is at risk of up to one year in jail plus a $2,500 fine.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office is expected to review the case and determine whether to charge the teen, who was released into his parents' custody, said Sgt. Mel Amoroso, a spokesman at the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Division.

6. Dumb is right, you people should have more respect for the few brave souls who dare to flout the law so you can watch films for free. The torrenting community would be NOTHING without people like that young lad, NOTHING i say.

8. There are many ways to get the movies onto torrent sites, and they do not normally include recording them in the theater. This kid was clearly a dumbass. Besides, the quality of a recording from a handicam is marginal at best.( normally completely shit) Most torrent files come from screeners, or DVD's released in other regions before they are released in yours.

9. That was Pacific Theatres Winnetka 21 in Chatsworth, California! I used to work there :) You have to be stupid to try handicam a film at this location. That's all the projection and ushers look for ! Oh well...
